Mille Etoiles offers accommodation in 14 individually and stylishly furnished Yurts.
Each tent is designed to accommodate two adults (in a double bed) and
has 2 camp beds for small children under 12.
The 14 tents are thoughtfully positioned throughout the forest.
 There are 10 Yurts which have been designed with young families in mind. In addition to these there are 4 communal cooking tents. These are in a communal area set back from the yurts and have fully equipped kitchens including fridges, cookers, pots and pans, crockery etc. No need to bring anything!
A group of three Yurts with a kitchen makes an ideal set up if you want to make a group booking with family or groups of friends.
The further four yurts are more hidden away in the forest and are offered for couples and honeymooners. They have tiny private camp kitchens (basic camp equipment – stove, cooler, and crockery).
Main showers and toilets are shared and located not far from the tents. We have continued our focus on natural style into the bathrooms and you will find bathing a pleasurable and relaxing experience, as it should be.
Quality bedlinen is provided (sheets, blankets and bedspread for adults, duvet for kids). If you are here for a two-week stay the linen will be changed after a week.
Breakfast (continental) is served in the café between 8:30am and 10:30am and is included in the price of your stay.
There is a small ‘table d’hôte’ style restaurant serving evening meals 5 times a week. The cost of dinner is 28 Euro per head (adult) and is payable locally, Reservations are required in advance for the first night of your arrival. The restaurant also prepares a childrens menu at 14 euro per head.

The encampment enjoys a magnificent position on top of the stunning Ardèche river gorge. The gorge, 300 meters deep at some points, twists and turns below and provides some of the most breathtaking and rugged scenery in the country. The camp is set in Oak Forest, which provides much needed shade in the summer. Leafy paths lead to viewing points with stunning vistas across the gorge. Access to the river is by several dramatic footpaths, which descend steeply into the gorge. Once at the river there are countless swimming and sunbathing spots, perfect for whiling away your days.
The site is situated in the far south of the department of the Ardèche, in the Rhone Alpes region of France. About 5 km away is the beautifully preserved medieval village of Labastide de Virac. It boasts a 15th century Chateau, two great traditional restaurants, a small farm shop and uninterrupted views over vineyards towards the Cevennes Mountain range in the distance.
The Ardèche gorge is a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts with activities such as canoeing, horse riding, walking and caving. The tourist town of Vallon Pont d’Arc (approx 12 km) is the starting point for active days out with its numerous outdoor pursuits companies. The geological wonder of the Pont d’Arc (a natural stone bridge spanning the gorge, carved out by the river) is a must see and offers a popular sandy family swimming beach accessible by car. The nearby Chauvet Caves have been described as the birthplace of Art and feature cave paintings 30,000 years old. 
Avignon with its internationally famous cultural festival in July and August is an hour and a half drive away, the Roman Pont du Gard and the important town of Uzes is about one hour away. The ancient city of Nîmes is one and a half-hours drive, and a day on the Med is easily possible.
